Business Developer Manager,Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. | Viridium ...

My client is a well established multinational specialized in the solar market. They manufacturer solar products to sell across all Europe, The Americas, Africa Middle East and Asia Pacific and they are expanding now the business in Brazil, country where they have seen a lot of potential for the solar industry, and therefore they are looking to bring on a business developer manager to help with the company`s growth through 2012 and onwards

nPosition Overview:nThe business developer will need to have both technical and commercial acumen to ensure that the projects that they originate are not only technically feasible but also economically viable. It is key that you are able to develop relationships, have strong negotiation and pricing skills and also have the technical understanding to ensure that projects are being completed correctly.

Responsibilities:n- Identify, assess and create project development opportunitiesn- Will be conducting market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basisn- Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permitsn- Will manage big accountsn- Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for constructionn- Identification of project sites, land procurement, licensingn- Feasibility studies (site qualification, etc.)n- Project negotiations (with diverse project partners like local developers, IPPs or utilities)n- Project financing

Education:n- Educated to BSc/in Engineering degree.n- Commercial related degree are a plus.

Core Requirements:n- Al least 4 years of experience identifying and assessing project development opportunitiesn- Must have excellent negotiation skillsn- Must be someone proactiven- Have experience in conducting market analysis and identifying new opportunities.

General Requirements:n- Must be willing to travel within Braziln- Speak Portuguese and English
